Chefs in My City (chefsinmycity.com) is a directory of private chefs in the UAE. This notice explains what we collect and why. Questions or requests: hello@chefsinmycity.com.
Chefs who create a storefront
- Account details: your email address, and a password (stored only as a one-way hash), or your Google account ID if you sign in with Google.
- From Google sign-in: only your name, email address and Google account ID. We don't get access to your Gmail, contacts, files or anything else in your Google account.
- Storefront content: everything you add to your storefront (name, menus, prices, photos, WhatsApp number, Instagram handle) is shown publicly once you publish it.
People who send a request to a chef
The name, contact details and message you enter go to that chef so they can reply. They're stored so the chef can see them in their dashboard, and the chef may get a copy by email.
How we use it
- To run the site: showing storefronts, logging you in, and passing requests to chefs.
- To send emails you need, such as password resets and new-request notices.
- We don't sell your details, and we don't use advertising trackers.
Where it's stored
The site runs on Cloudflare, and emails are sent through Resend. They process the data only to provide those services.
Cookies
We use one cookie to keep you logged in, and a short-lived one during Google sign-in. No advertising or analytics cookies.
Deleting your data
Chefs can delete their storefront and account at any time from My storefront, then Account. This removes the storefront, photos and requests. Anyone else can email hello@chefsinmycity.com to ask for their details to be removed.
